Tournaments

Tournaments are held at the Snooker Club every year and are free to enter to any paid-up members. Usual table light fees apply.

Details of upcoming tournaments will be posted here and at the club in advance.

The club normally holds two or three tournaments a year, the Scratch Singles (Club Championship) and the Bernie Marsden (Handicap), and a Doubles (Club Pairs).

Format for Competitions

  • All Singles finals will be (best of 9), Semi Finals (best of 7), Qtr Finals (Best of 5), all earlier rounds will be (best of 3).
  • All Doubles finals will be (best of 7), Semi Finals (best of 5), all earlier rounds will be (best of 3)
  • Coronation Cup Finals (Best of 9) Semi Finals (best of 7). All other matches are played in a league ladder format where everyone plays each other in that group, the top two of each group go through to a Semi Final & Final play off for the overall winner.
